Our Science Fair Experiment

Aim: We want to find out which acid makes the bubbliest, biggest explosion for volcanoes or blowing up balloons.

Hypothesis: 

Brayden	I think vinegar and baking soda will make the biggest explosion.
Sophie	I think it will fizz if you put baking soda and lemonade in it.  I think those will make the biggest explosion.
Summer	I think baking soda and lemonade will mix and it will explode.
Mia	I think baking soda and lemonade will make the biggest explosion.
Justyce	I think vinegar and baking soda
Yuvraj	I think baking soda and lemon juice will make the biggest explosion.
Braeden	I think baking soda and lemon juice will make the biggest explosion.
Reihania	I think baking soda and lemonade will make the biggest explosion

Method:

1. Measure ¼ of a cup of acid.  Pour it into the measuring beaker.

2. Measure how many teaspoon of baking soda you need into another measuring beaker.

3. Tip the baking soda into the acid.

4. Look carefully to see what number the fizzy bubbles reach/

Vinegar and baking soda

Orange juice and baking soda.

We had to squeeze oranges to make the juice.

Lemon juice and baking soda.

We found out that lemon juice and baking soda makes the most gas.

Second place is vinegar.

Third place is orange juice.

Lemonade doesn't make any gas at all.
